That's Mouse Stahlman. The oldest hamster ever!

Mutty, as he is affectionately called, died on November 19, 2008.
He was at least 3 years 8 months old (!) - and could have been closer to 4 years (!!)

Hamsters live to be an average of 2.5 years in captivity, with the upper lifespan
range ending at 3 years by just about every known calculation, expert opinion, and
experiential data. Mousey managed to outlive his own lifespan prediction by almost
one whole extra year of life.

He has been nominated for a Guinness World RecordTM - application pending.
Oh! he is so winning that thing :)

Way to go cool little guy!
We love and miss you,
mom, apaches, and reginald
